John Turner


John leads OC&C’s UK Media practice, working with clients across the full range of media sub-sectors and topics but with particular focus on the TV market.

In the UK, John has collaborated with several of the industry leaders on key strategic topics such as OTT, advertising sales, production, distribution and acquisitions. John has also worked extensively in B-B media including comprehensive work related to audience measurement data as it relates to the advertising industry.

Internationally, John has spent more than a decade in key global media markets including the USA, France, UAE/Middle East, Germany and Australia/New Zealand.

In addition to large corporate media, John has a passion for serving start-up technology and media companies like Livestation, a UK start-up that has become the global leader in the distribution of live video news through OTT. John is now an advisor to the Board. He has also supported regional governments on high profile, sensitive regulatory issues.

John has published extensively on key topics in the media industry on topics ranging from developments in emerging market media to the impact of “big data” on the advertising industry. John has been invited to speak on media topics by organizations such as the Council on Foreign Relations, the Abu Dhabi Media Conference, and the World Economic Forum.
